Powerlifting has given me a chance to remain competitive in the sports world. In firefighting most tasks are short in duration and high in intensity. Powerlifting training crosses over very well. In the past couple of years since I took it up I've won two national championships and one World title (2001 WPFG). I take care of myself through chiropractic, massage, and good supplemental nutrition. Protein, quality carbs, plenty of water, and proper rest are the keys to progress and success.
